A man and two young children where tragically found unresponsive in a house pool in Hollywood, Florida on Thursday.
Officials stated it was the wife who found her husband and two small children in the pool.
The man and the children ages 5 and 2, were found by Hollywood Police officials around 3:30 p.m. at a home on S. Highland Drive near Adams Street.
Responding officers immediately began performing CPR on the victims, who were transported to Memorial Regional Hospital, where they were officially pronounced dead.
Officials are still investigating the tragedy, and more details were not immediately available. Police say there is no foul play suspected.
According to a neighbor, the family who lives at the home has five children, one of whom had just left for college.
“It’s horrible, and I’m shaken right now. We’re cordial, and here and there we say hi to them,” the neighbor told the outlet. “We really keep to ourselves in this neighborhood until something like this happens, unfortunately.”
The wife was questioned if the husband had any mental illness or suicidal tendencies. She claims that there is no chance her husband would have done anything of the sort.
A vigil of candles was presented on the front porch by a few close neighbors in remembrance of the lost family members.
