A Maryland man is facing criminal homicide charges in Pennsylvania in connection with a stabbing spree that killed 34-year-old Christine Fousek and her 5-year-old daughter Rylee Reynolds, while leaving two others severely injured.
Pennsylvania State Police issued a statement, “Officers responded to 911 calls about a stabbing from a private residence in Hopewell Township. When officers arrived, they found the suspect, Keith Kretzer, 32, waiting outside.”
The suspect told police that he had an out-of-body experience that led him to commit such a heinous crime.
The arresting officers said Kretzer had cuts and blood on both of his hands.
Christy’s boyfriend, Keith Kretzer said during an interview after his arrest, “I was cooking inside the our home when ‘something took control of me and made me get a knife’. After I killed Christy and Rylee, I went upstairs and stabbed Jacqueline and Joseph before running out of the house.”
Joseph Fousek was in his room playing games with a headset on when he heard screaming within the residence. Kretzer then ran through the door into the room with a large knife and began stabbing Joseph. As the two fought over possession of the knife, Joseph Fousek obtained it, and broke free from the struggle.
Kretzer told investigators, during the struggle he “snapped out of it,” fleeing to a large field outside the residence.
Kretzer was taken into custody without incident.
“Emergency responders entered the residence to find a total of four victims,” the statement explains.
Fousek and her daughter Rylee were pronounced dead at the scene.
Those injured in the stabbing, Jacqueline Fousek, 63, and Joseph Fousek, 28, “were treated on scene and transported to a local hospital for serious injuries sustained,” the statement adds.
According to the York County Coroner’s Office, autopsies for Fousek and Rylee will be performed tomorrow.
WGAL reports that investigators were still at the home where the killings occurred early Tuesday morning to collect evidence.
During a search of the home, Pennsylvania State Police located marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms along with the knife used in the crime.
Kretzer is being held without bond on two counts of criminal homicide and two counts of criminal attempted homicide.
A court records search of Kretzer turned up no issues in York County. However, a search in Maryland shows Kretzer had three protection orders in 2012, 2014 and 2017 including two for domestic violence.
A Maryland man. Most likely a deranged demonRAT.
Now you know why I carry a gun.
