Authorities were searching frantically for a 12-year old girl, who stepped off the school bus and never returned home.
Thankfully, Anna Early was found safe and sound and is no longer missing.
Union City Police Department’s Public Information Officer Jerome Turned said, “We found Anna Early on Sunday. She is luckily safe and going to be okay.”
Early was dropped off near an apartment complex in Union City, Ga., around 5:20 p.m.
A friend had told officers that Anna claimed to have forgotten something and walked the opposite the direction of her home. Another friend told police they spotted Anna, without her backpack, walking in the area of the school bus stop, around 7:30 p.m.
Turned said, “Early has returned home to her family and we are unable to release any further information at this time. We also want to take the time to thank the community for helping the police force search and find Early.”
