As if losing your home, loved ones, animals, and precious valuables wasn’t enough, many Florida residents faced looters as well.
Most of the heartless looters busted in hurricane-ravaged Florida were illegal immigrants. Some being the same ones shipped by vans and buses down from NYC with the promising of a job to clean up the destruction hurricane Ian left behind.
Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Tuesday, “I’d like to drag them out by the collars and send them back to where they came from.”
“We’ve had four looters that were arrested and they need to be brought to justice,” the tough governor said during an update on the devastation from historic Hurricane Ian. “But you know, three of the four are illegal aliens.
“And so these are people that are foreigners, they’re illegally in our country and not only that, they tried to loot and ransack in the aftermath of a natural disaster,” DeSantis continued.
DeSantis has never hidden that he is one of the fed-up Republican governors who has been sending border-crossers to Democratic sanctuary destinations. He has always stayed true to his intentions and how he feels when it comes to border control issues.
“I mean, they should be prosecuted, but they need to be sent back to their home country. They should not be here at all,” he said.
“If I could, I would take those three looters, I would drag them out by the collars and I would send them back to where they came from,” he again said to applause later during the briefing.
DeSantid was speaking about four people busted in Lee County, the Florida area hit hardest by last week’s devastating hurricane. Three men and a woman, Omar Mejia Ortiz, 33, Valerie Celeste Salcedo Mena, 26, Brandon Mauricio Araya, 20, and Steve Eduardo Sanchez Araya, also 20. The four were arrested on Thursday for burglary of an unoccupied structure during a state of emergency. Ortiz was hit with a petit larceny charge.
Meanwhile, DeSantis again warned would-be looters of potentially deadly consequences, saying that “Floridians’ right to defend themselves and their homes will be honored.”
“I do think that what has happened by having massive numbers of people coming across the border has not been good for this country,” he said.
He said on Monday he had interrupted his hurricane duties to attend a memorial service for Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Hartwick, who got killed by a twice-deported illegal alien from Central America.
“Someone was operating heavy machinery, was not eligible to work and had fraudulent documents, did not have the proper license, and ran over a deputy. How is that something that should be acceptable?” he asked.
“We can say without a shadow of a doubt that if you just had control of your border, that wouldn’t have happened. And that’s why they’re very preventable crimes,” he said to further applause. “So it’s really, really sad the situation that our country finds itself in with respect to our open border.”
You keep telling it Gov.Desantis!!…. keep up the good work! The day is here and the Democrats are sorry people
Truth will stand!!
DeSantis is the man we need badly. I wish President Trump would drop out & endorse the Gov.
I voted for President Trump in ‘16 & ‘20. This time for the good of the country, I wish he step away. He was exposed the Swamp, let Ron drain it!
I agree that former president Trump should step aside and support DeSantis. I also voted for President Trump twice but now would like to see this address run and I think he would do a great job as our president
Is funny ,in 1989 I go to Brownsville Texas and I arrived at 5:30 am and I pick my sister in law from the hotel tropical in that city ,from there I go to Laredo Texas to return to Miami in that highway but I learn the highways in that state are funneled to migration cages ,so my sister where deported and was detain for seven days and from there I’m a criminal ,the governor broke federal laws used taxpayer money to use in that violations but he is good ,looks the we the people writigns are lost in the history ,at least I was helping my family ,is the life in the US ,you have money you are hero you are poor ,you are a mop ,hey have a great day .
You sir are indeed a mop. Perhaps you and your sister in law should have come in the legal way. You knew she was illegal and chose to transport her anyway. Wanting a better life or trying to help your family are no excuse. I’d like to have millions of $ to help my family but I can’t go Rob a bank to get it.
Don’t f*ck with DeSantis! I agree with Shari.
Any other country on this planet would not allow this abhorrent behavior to go on, when we as Americans see the illegal’s doing this criminal behavior, you have to ask yourself; why would we not want closed borders. But as the Democrats have made the criminals victims, we the real victims are silinced. It’s enough to want you to beat the shit out of every stinkin Democrat you know, they’re screwing this country and we are watching it happen. The Democrats are EVIL!
