The family of social media star Annabelle Ham, announced with a heavy heart that their daughter passed away from an epileptic event at the age of 22.
“We’re writing this with heavy, heavy hearts. Annabelle experienced an epileptic event and has gone on to the gates of heaven,” the family captioned a photo on her social media page. “She struggled with this for a long time and wanted to raise awareness for it, which we will do in honor of her.”
Annabelle’s family went on to say what a beautiful soul she had and that inspiring others to live to the fullest was her message she liked to spread to the world.
“Everyone she met was inspired by her energy and the light inside her soul that shined so bright. She was, and will forever be, so so loved,” the family continued in the heartwarming message.
Her family asks for prayers at their time of sadness and loss. They also ask for Annabelle’s faithful followers to give them time to peacefully grieve her loss and not to spread any false speculation around the internet.
Ham had been attending a bachelorette party in Alabama when she went missing. Her sister Alexandria took to Facebook to report the disappearance, explaining that she had last been seen walking along a pier.
“My sister is missing. We have her phone. She might have fallen off pier,” Alexandria wrote Saturday before officers stepped in.
Fairhope Police then released a statement about her disappearance, where they explained that she had been found deceased.
Annabelle, who gained fame after launching a YouTube lifestyle channel in 2014, had more than 70,000 followers on Instagram and over 77,000 YouTube subscribers.
Her sisters, Amelia and Alexandria, also shared heartfelt tributes on Instagram following her death.
“There will never be words for how heartbroken my family and I are,” Alexandria wrote alongside a photo of her and Annabelle Monday. “Annabelle was such a light to the world. A spark-plug. If you knew Annabelle, you loved her and loved being around her. She loved others so well too. Please keep my family in your prayers. ”.
“Sometimes I don’t understand why god does things but, I can’t even put into words how hard this is. You would never think something like this would or could happen to you until it does,” Amelia then wrote alongside a carousel of pics that included the threes sisters. “Annabelle was such a good sister to Alexandria, and me. She was amazing, she has gone to so many places seen and done so many things.”
“She was so sweet, so pretty with the most bluest eyes ever, she was always happy and lighted up every room. But god was ready for her. I know she always wanted to live life to the fullest, that’s what we have to do now. And I know she is dancing around in heaven right now. I can’t wait to give u a big hug one day,” Amelia concluded her tribute to her sister.
Amelia then thanked all Annabelle’s followers and ended with the Bible passage “Jeremiah 29:11”.
Annabelle was also remembered by Beta Zeta chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, of which the Kennesaw State University student was a member.
The sorority called her a light in our chapter and someone who always had a smile on her face and never failed to put a smile on others.
“We will keep her and her beautiful soul close to our hearts,” the statement concluded. “She will forever be missed by all of us and anyone who was blessed to know her. Please keep her family, friends and loved ones in your prayers, as she was loved by many. We know her light will continue to shine down on us everyday.”
