A man and woman in Florida are being charged with attempted murder after they kidnapped a man, cut his throat, and threw him off a bridge.
The victim, who was not named in a Facebook post from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, agreed to a date with Natalie Fonseca, whom he met on Facebook.
When the victim went to her home, she introduced him to Nafis Reynold, who she said was her uncle.
The trio then decided to leave Fonseca’s home and shortly after the victim was attacked by her and Reynolds.
An officer said, “We discovered that after they attacked the victim, they told him he was going to die. They then robbed the victim of his shoes, phone, money, and car before taking turns cutting his throat and throwing him off the bridge into the Escambia River.”
Somehow, by a miracle perhaps, the victim managed to survive, swam to shore, and informed a deputy about what happened.
Officers later found the victim’s car abandoned and set on fire. The later discovered the crime scene and arrested Fonseca and Reynolds.
The two were booked into Escambia County jail on charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, armed robbery, and armed carjacking.
