Hallie Biden, the widow of Beau Biden who gained attention for her relationship with his younger brother, Hunter, following Beau’s passing, is preparing to walk down the aisle again.
Hallie is set to marry John Hopkins Anning, a financial broker from Ohio, potentially as soon as this weekend. Records show that the couple’s marriage license has been filed in Hamilton County, Ohio.
After being married to Beau Biden from 2002 until his death in 2015, Hallie began a relationship with Hunter in 2017, lasting two years.
She has been a prominent figure in Hunter’s life, even during his legal challenges, and is expected to be among the witnesses in his upcoming federal gun trial.
Sources from Wilmington, Del., revealed that Hallie and Anning, aged 50 and 53 respectively, have been engaged for over a year.
However, they opted to postpone their nuptials until after Hallie’s younger child graduated from high school.
Details regarding their wedding plans are scarce, but it is known that Hallie and Anning have been together since at least 2021.
Anning, who works in wealth management, has shared photos of the couple on his Instagram account, documenting their travels to destinations like Sea Island, Georgia, in 2021, and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France, in 2023.
Anning was first identified attending a Biden family event in 2021, and his association with the family was noted by Garrett Ziegler’s nonprofit website, Marco Polo, which previously published data from Hunter Biden’s computer.
President Biden recently made a surprise visit to Hallie’s Delaware home, adding intrigue to the timing as she prepares to testify in Hunter’s trial, which is scheduled to begin on June 3. Hunter is also facing legal challenges in Los Angeles for alleged tax evasion.
Hallie and Hunter parted ways in 2019, following their initial reports of dating in 2017.
Hallie, who was devastated by the loss of her husband Beau to brain cancer, found solace in her relationship with Hunter during his separation from his wife, Kathleen.
