A few days after a 25-year old mother and her two sons (ages 4 and 1) were found fatally shot in their New Hampshire home, police have finally identified the three individuals.
A statement from the state’s Department of Justice confirms the victims found Wednesday in Northfield are Kassandra Sweeney and her boys Benjamin Sweeney, 4, and Mason Sweeney, 1.
All three bodies were discovered by officers who’d been called to the home at approximately 11:33 a.m. Police did not state who placed the 911 call and requested the police to come.
Upon arrival, officers found the mom and her sons soon after entering the home. After investigation, it was determined that all three were killed by single gunshots, and that their deaths were homicides.
Police released a statement saying, “At this point in the investigation, investigators have identified all involved parties and there is no threat to the general public. The investigation remains active and ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available, while protecting the integrity of the investigation.”
The state police Major Crimes Unit returned to their home just before 9 a.m. Thursday.
A silver Ford F-150 was taken away on a flatbed truck Thursday morning, but there was no word as to why it was removed.
As of Friday morning, no arrests had been made by authorities.
A GoFundMe campaign is now accepting donations for the three funerals.
On the GoFundME page, Kassandra’s cousin, Alizabeth Dawson, wrote that Kassandra was “one of the most genuine and beautiful people you could ever meet.”
The page notes Kassandra and the boys are survived by Sean Sweeney, her husband and the father of the boys.
If grownups have domestic problems; WHY
did they have to take the lives of those beautiful, innocent little children?
Even it wasn’t due to a domestic problem;
how can anyone pull the trigger when looking
at those beautiful little faces? Inhuman!
