The boats rocking so don’t come knocking!
A wild brawl that erupted on the dance floor of a Big Apple-bound Carnival cruise ship was sparked by jealousy over a ménage à trois.
The crazy fight broke out between around 60 people near the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge on Tuesday when significant others accused their partners of cheating in a threesome, passenger Theresa James said as a witness.
It started in a nightclub on the fifth floor of the Carnival Magic ship at around 2 a.m. after the angry lovers confronted their respective partners for two-timing on the seven seas, according to James, a travel agent who watched the chaos from her room.
The fighters then began shoving each other and smashing beer bottles. A woman may have been sliced during the brawl, which spiraled out of control, James said.
“Ignorant fools acting stupid,” she said.
The fight lasted roughly an hour and spilled into the casino area on the same level of the ship, she said.
They eventually moved from the fifth floor to the first, and the altercation wasn’t physical the whole time, James said.
The ship’s security team tried to break up the fight, James said, and eventually called the US Coast Guard.
She credited security guards with finally getting the unhinged passengers under control.
Another passenger, tweeting under the handle @nyeem0, said he was “at the bar listening to my own music sipping a Shirley Temple, then the brawl broke out of nowhere!”
He said some passengers were “injured and cut up from glass” and that “most if not all’” of the ship’s security guards rushed to the club to stop the violence.
“It was the last night so i guess they wanted to go out with a bang,” he added.
