Employees at a Dairy Queen in Campton, Kentucky are claiming their manager made them eat ice cream tainted with cleaning solution on February 23rd.
Angela Patton, a mother of one of the employees, claimed that the restaurant manager called eight employees to a mandatory meeting and told them to eat the contaminated ice cream.
“They were told by the manager that whether or not they liked chocolate ice cream, they were going to eat it today,” Patton alleged. “Some of the kids had complained that they had a burning sensation when they swallowed the ice cream.”
Patton shared that many of the employees were minors, including her 17-year old daughter. Following the incident, she said some of the employees had quit, including her daughter. Patton also said some of the employees were taken to the emergency room afterward.
Authorities stated that no charges were filed so far and that the incident is still under investigation, so they are not giving any set details at this time.
